Inspired Signs Virtual Sports Contracts

London-based Inspired Gaming announced license deals with six major Italian gaming operators for its online and retail virtual sports betting platform. The company has signed virtual sports license deals with SNAI, Sisal, Eurobet, Intralot, Cogetech and Lottomatica.

“Virtual sports are a very lucrative part of the product offer for operators,” said Steve Rogers, managing director of Inspired’s Virtual Sports division. “Our virtual products are in high demand from retail and online concessionaires in Italy who understand the value in being able to offer a high-frequency stream of betting opportunities to their customers.”

The new legislation legalizing fixed-odds bets on simulated sporting events online and in betting shops and corners in Italy was submitted by AAMS to the European Commission in January, and was ratified in April. Inspired is already one of three leading suppliers to the relatively new VLT market in Italy, with contracts for over 10,000 terminals with leading concessionaires. Inspired has signed virtual sports deals with around 90 percent of Italian operators.
