IGT Places VLTs in Ohio

Slot manufacturer International Game Technology announced the placement of 756 video lottery terminals at the Scioto Downs Racino in Columbus, Ohio.

Scioto Downs is the only racetrack in the state to be granted a license for the operation of VLTs. The recent refurbishment of the racino provided IGT with a strong foothold in the Midwestern VLT market, as the popular racing and gaming establishment recently added over 2,000 VLTs to its casino floor, with a third of the sale contracted to IGT.

“We are proud to be a part of the expansion at Scioto Downs,” said Eric Tom, IGT executive vice president of global sales. “Our extensive selection of game themes equips them with a library full of best-of-breed games, which will engage the players on their floor, and allow for an investment for years to come.”

The racino plans to further build out its floor, expecting to add an additional 54 machines from IGT by the end of the year.
