Slot manufacturer International Game Technology has named former IBM executive T. Rao Coca to the newly created position of vice president of intellectual property.
Coca has decades of experience in IP strategy, development, licensing and litigation, and has held a variety of executive and legal positions at IBM, Nvidia and NCR. He also has extensive international experience, including managing IBM’s IP matters in Tokyo, Beijing and Delhi.
Coca has a PhD in solid-state physics, a juris doctorate and a master of arts degree in optical physics from Temple University, and a master of science degree in nuclear physics from the University of Mysore, India.
