Clarion Events, organizer of the ICE Totally Gaming trade show and exhibition, announced that the show, Europe’s central trade event, will move to the ExCeL London exhibition center in London’s Royal Docks district beginning in 2013.
Clarion and ExCeL have signed a five-year deal, with the first show taking place February 5-7, 2013. “We are really excited about the move to ExCeL,” said Julian Graves, managing director of Clarion’s gaming division. “The huge investments they have made in the last 12 months in their facilities and infrastructure, the upgrades to the Docklands Light Railway and Jubilee line, the Olympics legacy, as well as their close proximity to London City Airport means that ExCeL is the right venue to enable us to meet our ambitions to further grow ICE and our international audience, to ensure it remains the leading global B2B gaming event in the industry.”
The ICE show is being moved from the Earls Court exhibition center, its home for a decade, because that venue is being displaced by development. The 2012 ICE show will be the last at the venue.
