ICE Launches Totally Gaming Awards

ICE Launches Totally Gaming Awards

The London trade conference ICE Totally Gaming has announced the launch of a new awards program, designed “for the industry, by the industry.” The inaugural event will take place on the evening before the start of ICE Totally Gaming 2012, on January 23.

The “Totally Gaming Awards” have been designed and developed to recognize and reward innovation, as well as great products and services, from across the industry. Clarion Events, the organizer of ICE Totally Gaming, has worked with partner associations including the European Casino Association and the National Casino Industry Forum to create an event that acknowledges best practice and innovation in the gaming industry and provides an environment that allows its stakeholders to meet and network in style.

The Totally Gaming Awards will be staged at 8 Northumberland Avenue ( HYPERLINK “http://www.8northumberland.co.uk” www.8northumberland.co.uk), one of London’s most prestigious venues, located less than 100 meters from the city’s geographical centre in Trafalgar Square.

Awards will be given across a variety of categories, including best bingo, betting, lottery, mobile and online product of 2011, best manufacturer of the year, best casino of the year and best marketing campaign of the year.

There also will be a category recognizing the contribution made by the gaming media, as well as an individual accolade for outstanding contribution/service to the industry. An independent panel of judges will deliberate and decide upon each award category.

Kate Chambers, portfolio director of Clarion Events, commented, “ICE Totally Gaming is the event in the calendar when the global industry gathers here in London primarily to do business, but to also network and socialize. We are very close to our stakeholders, and the message coming through loud and clear is their desire for a prestigious awards program that is for the industry, by the industry, and in conjunction with our partner associations, that is exactly what we have created. The Totally Gaming Awards will provide an ideal way to launch what is the most comprehensive and international gaming event on the planet.”

Clarion Events has been commissioned to create the new logo and brand for the gaming awards, to be revealed at the beginning of ICE week in London.

The awards will herald the start of a week-long series of industry events taking place alongside ICE Totally Gaming.

“As is the case with everything we undertake, we are working closely with the industry on the project, in particular with the European Casino Association and the National Casino Industry Forum,” said Chambers. Research conducted after last year’s ICE show prompted the new look. According to Chambers, it was a way for the ICE brand to “spread its wings.”

“I am confident the Totally Gaming Awards will be a fantastic and appropriate way to raise the curtain on ICE and will represent a great addition to ICE week,” said Chambers.
