Hard Rock Launches Cantor Book

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas and Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of the global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., announced the launch of the Cantor Race & Sports Book at the Hard Rock.

Cantor Gaming has installed its “In-Running” technology at the operation, which opened last week. Cantor’s In-Running Wagering system allows customers to place bets on a wide variety of outcomes while sporting events and other events are in progress.

Cantor also will install its “eDeck” mobile gaming system at Hard Rock before the end of the year, pending regulatory approval. Once live, guests will be able to use eDeck to bet on sports, as well as to play innovative, proprietary casino games developed by Cantor, such as “XtraOdds Baccarat” and “XtraOdds Blackjack,” throughout approved public areas of the property including select bars, restaurants and the pool.

“Hard Rock strives to continuously offer guests fine dining, exciting nightlife and exclusive spa and pool experiences, with full service casino amenities,” said Joseph A. Magliarditi, president and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “The launch of the Cantor Race & Sports Book adds a new dimension for our guests, further broadening the Hard Rock gaming experience.”

Lee Amaitis, president and CEO of Cantor Gaming, added, “Mr. Magliarditi has been a strong champion of In-Running and mobile gaming since we first launched 18 months ago, and we’re delighted to be working with him to bring our state-of-the-art technology to the Hard Rock. Cantor Race & Sports Book customers at Hard Rock will be able to trade sports in the same way the financial markets trade—we are essentially creating a Wall Street in the desert. Instead of building algorithms on stocks and bonds, we’re creating algorithms on team and star player performances. With the installation of eDeck mobile gaming, the Hard Rock will be able to offer substantial additional value to its customers through our cutting-edge technology.”
