The refurbished and newly branded Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic opened its doors November 1. The 1,800-room property features a 48,000 square-foot casino, the largest in the Dominican Republic.
Formally a part of the Palace Resorts hotel group, Hard Rock Punta Cana offers visitors the brand’s Rock Star Suite and Rock Spa, plus a new restaurant from Kerry Simon, the “Rock n’ Roll chef” according to Rolling Stone Magazine. The resort is Hard Rock’s first involvement with an “all-inclusive” property.
The property includes more than 65,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, an 18-hole, Nicklaus designed golf course, 11 swimming pools, four swim-up bars, and—somewhat incongruously—a kids pool and lazy river.
Hard Rock Punta Cana is offering a number of marketing incentives, including hefty airfare credits, discounts on hotel rooms and resort credit for use toward room upgrades, spa and beauty salon treatments, golf outings, romantic dinners, wedding packages and off-site excursions.
A grand opening is planned for January 2011.
