Great Guardians

This new game duo, featured on Konami’s Dimension 49J cabinet, is an extension of the slot-maker’s popular All Aboard series. It features six jackpots—four fixed amounts and linked progressives resetting at $500 and the top $7,500.

The inaugural games are Great Guardians Phoenix and Great Guardians Dragon. Each base game is a five-reel video slot with five, 25 or 50 paylines, depending on denomination. The main feature is common to both initial titles. Each has its own free-games feature.

Six or more scattered “Yin Yun” symbols on the reels trigger the Great Guardians feature. It is a hold-and-re-spin bonus. The player is awarded three Bonus Games. If one or more bonus symbols appear, the total prizes are awarded and they lock in place as the Bonus Games are reset to three. The feature ends when the number of Bonus Games is 0 or when all 15 positions are filled, awarding the top Grand jackpot.

On the Phoenix version of the game, any three Red Phoenix symbols trigger five free games. During the free games, large symbols appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. One paying symbol will cover the nine-spot grid on the middle reels, counting as nine of the same symbol and leading to big wins.

On the Dragon version, any three Blue Dragon symbols trigger nine free games. The number of wild symbols is increased during free games, increasing the win frequency.
