WMS GamingÆs Bluebird 2 cabinet is an upgraded version of the companyÆs groundbreaking cabinet style, designed to take full advantage of todayÆs technology and to ready operators for the coming networked gaming floor. The cabinet and platform work in concert with the WMS Wide Area Game Enhanced Network, or WAGE-Net.
Bluebird 2 provides a fully configurable platform, building off the popular ergonomically advanced original version, first introduced five years ago and established as one of the leading cabinet styles in the industry.
Bluebird 2 features a more sleek design than its predecessor. It uses the new CPU-NXT2 video platform.
Bluebird 2 features dual 22-inch wide-screen, high-definition displays, and a dynamic and fully programmable button panel that enables all aspects of server-based gaming, such as remote server-based configurations and downloadable content. The unit also has a completely digital platform, and a next-generation BOSE audio system that delivers vastly improved sound.
Bluebird 2, like the original, was designed for customers to be able to customize according to their casino floor needs and to maximize their investment with three different upgrade packages. With a simple software change, all Bluebird units are fully upgradeable to allow for all aspects of server-based gaming including asset download, peripheral download, remote configuration (changing denomination, hold percentage, line count, volume) and support for WAGE-Net wide-area content.
The cabinet combines quick-release laminate panels with tool-free access to all major peripherals.
The manufacturer says its new cabinet will “equip casinos with the state-of-the-art technology needed to thrive in our changing industry.”
