Five Executives Named at MGM Springfield

The MGM Springfield has announced the addition of executives from the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore and the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas to its senior staff. Alex Dixon (l.) will be general manager and Courtney Wenleder will be vice president of finance and chief financial officer.

The 0 million casino is looking to open in the city’s South End in the autumn of 2018. Wenleder was chief financial offer at New York-New York while Dixon was vice president and assistant general manager of the Horseshoe Casino.

MGM Springfield President Michael Mathis said Wenleder will be in charge of strategic financial planning and financial management while Dixon will be responsible for day-to-day leadership and direction, and will also oversee operations.

Mathis also announced other appointments, including:

  • Arlen Carballo, director of financial planning and analysis, formerly with MGM National Harbor in Maryland;
  • Meagan Lippmann, learning and development partner, who held a similar position at MGM Resorts International University; and,
  • Jason Randall, director of talent acquisition and development, who was previously director of human resources for Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
