IGT dips back into a rich well with this game—the iconic movie theme, combined with the multi-level progressive format.

Dirty Dancing employs great artwork and colors to depict the classic 1987 film starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. Their images—individually and locked in a sensual dance—are among many recognizable icons from the film employed as reel symbols. Throughout primary game and bonus events, the background music consists of familiar tunes such as “Time of My Life,” plucked from the film’s soundtrack.

The base game is a five-reel, 30-line video slot with two bonus features, one a mystery event and the other triggered by a line combination.

The “Spin Magic” bonus occurs randomly. Before a spin, one of the minor symbols is transformed into a wild symbol. The “Dirty Dancing Bonus,” initiated by a triggering reel combination, awards the player one of two pick bonuses, “Mambo Magic” and “Time of My Life;” or the “Staff Quarters” free-game bonus. Each bonus plays clips and music from the film, and features high-resolution video of the star couple’s dance moves.

The Dirty Dancing Bonus events can each lead to one of five progressive jackpot levels: “Opening Night,” resetting at $20; “Employees Only,” resetting at $50; “Perfect Balance,” resetting at $100; “The Sheldrake,” resetting at $450; and the top “Last Dance” jackpot, resetting at $12,500.
