Chinese Phoenix

The latest addition to Aruze’s G-Series, Chinese Phoenix is a five-reel, 50-line video slot featuring free spins, a second-screen event and stacked wild symbols. A wild symbol substitutes for all but the bonus trigger symbol during the base game.
The main free-spin event is called the Chinese Phoenix feature. Triggered by three or more scattered bonus symbols, it launches a “mini-game” in which a mountain appears on the screen, and the player is directed to choose one of five eggs to reveal a number of wild symbols that will appear during a free-spin round of eight spins. Anywhere from 20 wild symbols to a maximum of 60 wilds can appear during the eight free games.

Stacked wild symbols also appear duing the free games, which can result in several entire reels being covered with wilds.

Three feature symbols during a free spin re-triggers the event for an additional eight free spins. Two of them are spotted to the player, with feature symbols on two of the middle reels for the entire free-spin round. (Re-triggering will add free games, but will not repeat the mini-game.)

The “Chinese Phoenix” soars over the front of the reels to indicate big wins. Randomly, when the phoenix appears, additional wild symbols are placed within the screen to improve the result of the spin.

The game also includes Aruze’s “Rescue Spin” feature. This counts down losing spins and reimburses the player periodically with free spins and credits. If a player goes a certain number of spins without a bonus sequence, an “angel” comes onscreen and awards a free-spin round. A countdown appears when there are 10 games left until a Rescue Spin.
