Atlantis, Paradise Island in The Bahamas and Las Vegas-based Cantor Gaming announced the grand opening of a new, 6,860-square-foot state-of-the-art race and sports book at Atlantis.
The new race and sports book at Atlantis offers patrons a stylish and sophisticated sports wagering environment, equipped with the latest in technological advancements, including Cantor Gaming’s proprietary wireless gaming system.
Highlights include a high-definition indoor LED video wall, measuring 67 feet by 7.5 feet, capable of showing up to 20 independent high-definition race and sporting events simultaneously. This defining feature can be enjoyed from any of the 44 personal wagering stations, six VIP betting stations, eight personal betting lounge stations and eight bar gaming slots.
Cantor Gaming’s signature style can be seen across the race and sports book, including metallic gray betting carrels, black granite-topped cocktail tables, ebony wood veneer detailing, and a red striped carpet. Cantor Gaming has licensed its sophisticated mobile gaming and its race book and sports pool systems to Atlantis. In addition, it is providing risk management consulting services.
Meanwhile, Celebrity Cruises announced that it has launched ship-wide gaming on its cruises, thanks to a partnership with Cantor Gaming.
In a first for the cruise industry, passengers on Celebrity Cruises vessels will be able to download the free Cantor Mobile Casino application via the ship’s WiFi network to play online casino games on smart phones or tablets anywhere in the ship, as long as the ship is in international waters. Players will be required to create a “virtual wallet” account for mobile games, and fund it through deposits at the ship’s casino desk.
Mobile games include slots, table games and video poker.
