Caesars CFO Joins NV Energy

Jonathan Halkyard, chief financial officer for Caesars Entertain-ment, has left the casino company to become executive vice president and CFO of NV Energy, a Nevada power company that provides electricity to 2.4 million residents of the Silver State.

In a statement, Caesars said Halkyard was leaving to “pursue an opportunity outside of the gaming industry,” but didn’t identify his destination.

In a separate statement issued moments later, NV Energy said that Halkyard would replace Dilek Samil, who was promoted from NV Energy’s senior vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer to executive vice president and chief operating officer.
