This is a new game in Aruze’s “G-Series” of no-nonsense, basic video slots. It is a 100-line game that activates two lines for every penny bet—essentially, a half-penny game with high volatility.
This game has the Aruze feature called “High Power,” designed to promote higher average bets. When the player bets the maximum—300, 600 or 1,200 credits are the choices—the overall theoretical payback percentage rises by three points. This feature has been a hit with Aruze players, and has resulted in high average bets on the manufacturer’s games.
In the polar-themed Arctic Sun, three or more scattered bonus symbols trigger the “Lucky Bear Feature.” The player is prompted to select one of five “Lucky Bears” to determine a number of free games and a multiplier—from five free games with high multipliers to 20 free games with lower multipliers.
A “Mystery Reel” can also be activated with a chance to win up to 40 free games, or 500 times the total credits bet.
The game also includes Aruze’s “Rescue Spin” feature. This counts down losing spins and reimburses the player periodically with free spins and credits. If a player goes a certain number of spins without a bonus sequence, an “angel” comes onscreen and awards a free-spin round. A countdown appears when there are 10 games left until a Rescue Spin.
Free games also include a random “2nd Chance Respin” feature, which will re-spin the reels to complete a winning combination.
