AGS Licensed in Mississippi, Illinois

Slot manufacturer American Gaming Systems announced that its corporate entity, AGS LLC, has been granted a manufacturer and distributor license by the Mississippi Gaming Commission.

“This is a major step forward for our company,” said Paul Lofgren, vice president of sales and business development for AGS. “The Mississippi market is a key part of our overall strategy in the United States. We believe that our product is well-suited to that market. In particular, we believe our wheel-based top-box games ‘Ripley’s Believe it or Not!’ and ‘Blackbeard’s Treasure,’ and our unique video poker game ‘Pay it Again Poker,’ will be a huge success for operators in Mississippi. We had a lot of interest and excitement at the Southern Gaming Summit in Biloxi, and we are thrilled to be officially licensed to sell into this important market.”

Meanwhile, in a separate release, AGS announced it has received approval from the Illinois Gaming Board for its Gambler’s Choice multi-game platform. The Gambler’s Choice multi-game will be placed in the new Illinois bar market, where owners are authorized up to five machines.
