Downtown Las Vegas May Get New Casino
Developer Forest City has submitted plans to build Downtown Las Vegas’ first new casino in 30 years. The city has granted Forest City 6.4 acres in the new Union Park development just west of Downtown in exchange for first building a new city hall building. The Culinary Union is opposed to a new city hall, saying it is unnecessary in a period of high unemployment.
