Pinnacle Seeking To Close The Emerald Bay

By GGB Staff   Tue, Dec 23, 2008

While Pinnacle Entertainment revenue is growing, its Exuma resort in the Bahamas is hemorrhaging cash. Pinnacle wrote off $4.3 million in the last quarter due to Exuma’s financial hardship. Now Guardian Business is reporting that Pinnacle is seeking to close the Emerald Bay hotel on January 2, instead of August 31 as originally intended. “It has not been confirmed yet, but t-hey have indicated to the Bahamas Hotel Corporation that is the date they are looking at; not the August 31 date,” said Bernard Bonamy, secretary of the Gaming Board.
