Most of the exterior work has been completed on the permanent facility at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Pittsburgh, and work is expected to be complete by spring. Construction started earlier this year. The temporary casino opened in June 2007 and has 1,825 slot machines. The new facility will have 350,000 square feet and 3,750 slot machines, plus three times as much parking as the existing facility.
