Forward Motion In The U.K.
The town of Hull could be getting a new £25 million leisure complex that would include a 50,000-square-foot casino and five restaurants. The developer is Apollo Casino Resorts, a joint project of U.K.-based Apollo Resorts and Leisure and Casinos Austria International.
The leisure complex would be one element in the redevelopment of the Clarence Mill site. Other projects slated for the site are a 23-story apartment building, student dormitories and a 185-room hotel.
Paul Gregg, chairman of Apollo Resorts and Leisure, told the Hull Daily Mail, “We have looked at a number of other cities and a number of other sites in Hull but believe this is the most appropriate.”
Apollo is hoping to win the large casino license that was awarded Hull under the 2005 legislation.
