American Gaming Association Releases Report
The American Gaming Association recently released a disclosure report detailing $400,000 spent on lobbying efforts from July to September 2008. The AGA lobbied the White House, Congress, the IRS, Department of the Interior and Treasury Department regarding internet gambling, casino-related tax legislation, Hurricane Katrina tax legislation and employee tip tax compliance laws. The gaming association also proposed creating a non-profit corporation to endorse foreign travel to the United States.
