MGM plays musical chairs with execs

By GGB Staff   Thu, Apr 03, 2008

MGM Mirage announced several executive shifts last month. Bill Hornbuckle, president and COO of the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, has been appointed to run MGM Mirage’s massive $5 billion casino-hotel project in Atlantic City. The 25-year industry veteran, who formerly was president and COO of MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will retain his current title. Lorenzo Creighton, formerly president of New York-New York in Las Vegas, has been named president of MGM Grand in Detroit. Replacing Creighton at New York-New York is Cynthia Kiser-Murphy, formerly the corporate vice president of human resources for MGM Mirage. And George Boyer, formerly head of MGM Grand Detroit, joined MGM Mirage Development as a senior executive.
