Riviera Holdings Corp., the company that owns the Riviera hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip as well as in Black Hawk, Colorado, recently announced the suspension of its planned room renovations. The company also said any future expenditures will be highly unlikely until the credit crisis comes to an end. The Riviera was in the process of renovating each of its five hotel towers, four of which have already been completed to the tune of $18.7 million. The last tower will remain as-is for the time being.
