PokerTek Expands to Hungary
North Carolina-based PokerTek, Inc. announced that it is expanding its operations into Hungary, where seven of the company’s PokerPro automated poker tables have been installed at the Monte Carlo Budapest casino.
It is the latest example of a rapid expansion of PokerPro in Europe, orchestrated by PokerTek’s European distributor, slot-maker Aristocrat Technologies.
“PokerPro has been a wonderful offering for us,” said Daniel Lindsay, general manager of sales and marketing for Aristocrat Technologies Europe. “This year alone we have installed tables in Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain and several other countries throughout Europe.”
“PokerPro’s prolific appeal is proving irresistible among Hungarian players, just like others elsewhere around Europe,” added Tim Klok, Aristocrat’s European manager for multi-station gaming. “We are confident that more and more venues across the continent will follow the Monte Carlo Poker Club Budapest example to create a network of electronic poker rooms.”
