Fiji Fortune
The government of Fiji is offering tax incentives and profit repatriation to would-be casino operators. As stated in the government’s expressions of interest document, a licensed casino company will be able to import construction materials and equipment without having to pay the usual taxes.
Another perk will be the ability to transfer profits out of Fiji, in accordance with the rules of the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
Minister for Industry and Trade Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has officially requested successful, reputable casino developers and operators submit expressions of interest to establish Fiji’s first casino.
The government wants to increase the tourism sector, create jobs and generate additional revenue for the treasury.
