Harrah’s New Orleans Finds New GM
Harrah’s New Orleans announced its appointment for the casino’s new senior vice president and general manager post last month. Company veteran Dan Real, an employee since 1995, will step into the position.
A native of the Midwest, Real grew up in Chicago, attended Northern Illinois University as an undergraduate and earned a business administration master’s degree at the University of Nebraska.
His entrance into the casino world was also made close to home. Real began as a marketing intern at Harrah’s Joliet in Illinois, later moved to Harrah’s Council Bluffs in Iowa as director of casino marketing, and eventually became assistant general manager and vice president of operations at the casino he helped rebrand as Horseshoe Council Bluffs.
