Slot manufacturer WMS Industries has named former longtime Motorola executive Fred M. Gabbard to the newly created position of senior vice president of product development operations.

Gabbard will oversee product management and resource prioritization, new product introductions, product life cycle management and quality. He formerly spent 26 years with Motorola Inc., where he most recently was vice president of product management for wireless networks, a position tin which he led product strategy and portfolio development.

Gabbard joined Motorola in 1987 and held positions of increasing responsibility in systems engineering, account management and various technical and business management functions.
