Slot and system manufacturer Bally Technologies has named Mike Trask its new corporate communications manager.

Trask will be in charge of working with the media and overseeing much of Bally’s external communications efforts. He will report directly to Laura Olson-Reyes, Bally’s director of corporate communications.

Trask, a journalist for 10 years who wrote for the Las Vegas Sun, ESPN.com, the Associated Press and other media outlets, most recently was press secretary and primary spokesman for the campaign of Democratic Nevada gubernatorial candidate Rory Reid.
