DEQ Systems’ G3 table game bonusing system is credited with reviving the fortunes of Caribbean Stud and other table games by providing a more slot-like wagering interface that offers the ability for multiple-credit side bets.

G3 replaces the coin slot systems on older side bets—which generally restricted side wagers to $1—with a multi-credit bet technology that removes any cap to side bet amounts.

G3 allows multiple-credit betting, dealer hand betting and mystery bonusing, three accretive revenue-driving features that can generate more revenue than the $1 chip legacy technology.

“Caribbean Stud had started to die, because it was a $1 side bet with basic mechanics involved,” recalls Earle Hall, CEO of DEQ Systems. “We mirrored all the elements found in a slot machine, changing the dollar bet to a credit bet, with multiple-credit betting. Also, we were surprised that everyone was side-betting on their own cards, but not on the dealers’ cards. We created a second bet—the same as on the player hand, but on the dealer’s hand.”

G3 can be applied to any card-based table game simply, using one of several approved pay tables available from the manufacturer. The house advantage on the G3 side bet is 25 percent or less, and the system always  pays the casino first. The rest, at least 75 cents of every dollar, will go back to the players.
