MGM Debuts iPhone App with IGT
MGM Resorts International and International Game Technology have launched IGT’s Cleopatra iPhone slot game as part of MGM Resorts’ new M life Players Club iPhone application. The game is only offered to MGM Resorts M life Players Club members.
“This non-wager game features the graphics and game play of the casino title,” says Alex Kelly, vice president of interactive at Reno-based IGT. “We feel this app will increase brand loyalty to a game widely available throughout MGM Resorts’ properties.”
Keeping up with the times, MGM has also launched 12 free applications on Google’s Android, and is set to offer them on Research in Motion’s BlackBerry OS in March.
Previously only available on iTunes, the expansion into additional operating systems allows MGM to deliver new ways for customers to explore its Las Vegas hotels and attractions.
The apps allow patrons of Aria, the Bellagio, MGM Grand and other properties to access photos, videos and information to plan their visits, and “book it all with one-touch functionality,” according to a statement from the company.
Customers can also use GPS maps to get around, check the local weather, see special deals on a live Twitter feed, and see all of the information in French, German, Italian, Japanese or Spanish.
