Giesecke & Devrient Brings BPS C4 Banknote Processor to Casinos
Giesecke & Devrient is promoting its modular and scalable banknote processing machine for use in casinos.
The desktop BPS C4 features a new design and touch-screen controls. A single operator can perform recognition, evaluation, counting and sorting in one processing step.
The device can throughput 40,000 notes in one hour. Various modes are supported, including header card processing and rapid deposit processing. Large delivery modules can handle up to 500 bank-notes. The BPS C4 can also process slot tickets.
Up to 20 delivery compartments with variable configurations allow a maximum number of processing jobs to be run in parallel.
All basic functions are covered by a sensor block. Additional sensors can be added—for example, a dirt/stain sensor for quality sorting or a U.S. dollar sensor for extremely secure identification of U.S. banknotes.
