AGS, GameTech Announce Licensing Deal

By GGB Staff   Mon, Nov 28, 2011

Slot manufacturer American Gaming Systems announced it has entered into a licensing agreement with GameTech International allowing AGS to access GameTech’s extensive library of video games specifically developed for VLT markets such as Louisiana and Montana, for use by AGS once licensed in the pending Illinois video gaming market.

The agreement gives AGS exclusive rights to initially select five titles from GameTech’s video game library, which includes poker, keno, lineup and blackjack games. AGS also has right of first refusal and the option to license additional titles.

GameTech titles, which are also offered under its Summit brand, are particularly popular in the Louisiana VLT market, which shares similarities with the limited-bet, limited-jackpot market planned for Illinois when the Illinois Video Gaming Act ultimately goes live.
