The 4th Eastern European Gaming Summit in Sofia, Bulgaria, will feature a full afternoon dedicated to the topic of online gaming as it relates to the region and land-based gaming operations.

Covered in the sessions will be best practices and analysis of online gaming regulations, licensing, taxation, money laundering, security, bank transactions and other aspects of the sector. The intention of the organizers is to provide an understanding of the economic impact of online gaming in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, and the strategic importance of the region on the world map.

The morning sessions of EEGS will cover various topics relating to land-based gaming in the region, which includes Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and the nations that previously made up Yugoslavia. Also addressed will be the new legislation in Poland.

The event is being held at the Hotel Arena Di Serdica on October 17. This year EEGS is being held under the aegis of the European Gaming and Amusement Federation—EUROMAT—which represents the gaming and amusement sector at the E.U. level. EUROMAT comprises 25 member associations from 20 countries.

The EEGS immediately precedes the accompanying 4th Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo at Inter Expo Center in Sofia, which runs October 18-20.
