Expanding the Range: Novomatic/Austrian Gaming Industries
Novomatic expands its product library
The equipment manufacturing arm of Austria’s Novomatic Group of Companies will be showing an expanded range of promotional play products at this year’s G2E. One such item is the company’s new, trademarked Reel Tournament, which offers players live tournament action in real time, on an unlimited number of linked slots. The tournament controller of the system makes it possible for the operator to offer a variety of different win modes, tournament settings and promotional extras. The system works with Novomatic’s Super-V+ Gaminator line of slot machines.
In the community gaming category, Novomatic is offering “Bank Blaster.” The feature provides players the chance to work together in order to take down a communal jackpot.
The mystery jackpot “Wild Nights” takes players on a European tour. The jackpot, originally from Octavian, is available for Novo Line VLT/GDS and Coolfire II game platforms. At G2E the jackpot also will be used to demonstrate the ACP—Accounting, Control, Progressives—system from Octavian. ACP is a modular system that can be geared to the specific requirements of the operator as well as to those of the regulatory jurisdiction. There are a host of optional add-ons designed for ACP including profit calculation, TITO, cashless operation and player loyalty management. The product can be tailored to operations of any size. Both the mystery jackpot system and ACP were acquired when Novomatic purchased a number of Octavian assets in 2010.
At the heart of the Novomatic line is the slot machine itself. The NovoStar SL2 slant top cabinet will feature heavily at G2E. The now-familiar machine has a flip-screen feature which lets the player move the action between an upper and a lower screen at the touch of a button—even in the middle of a game. There is also a second spin button mounted on the footrest.
The other cabinets on display at G2E will be the Super-V+ Gaminator and Novo Super-Vision models. All cabinets can be outfitted with AGI’s flexible Super-V+ Gaminator multi-game solutions on the Coolfire II platform, which can be expanded to three high-resolution displays.
Another option to be viewed at G2E is the Ultimate 10 multi-game mix. This new and growing range of multi-game combinations is based on the new Coolfire I+ gaming platform and is available in the Gaminator cabinet. The Coolfire I+ platform takes the technological advances of Coolfire II and combines them with the cost-effective price structure of the original Coolfire I platform. The result is a product that offers improved technology combined with an attractive cost structure.
Novo Line Novo Unity II is the award-winning server-based gaming system from Novomatic. Players can access a full range of electronic table games from a single terminal, and from that same terminal play any number of server-based slot games. Each game is instantly available on the individual, linked player stations.
For example, with Novo TouchBet Live-Baccarat and Novo Flying Baccarat, all terminals are connected to a single, dealer-operated, live baccarat table. The operator can select from several side bets, such as pair for banker and/or player, or Royal Match, which is triggered by a queen and king being dealt in the first two cards. The games offer a flexible banker win commission rate, selectable styles, electronic game statistics, and of course the ability to switch to any other game on the system, which can include roulette, poker, blackjack, sic bo and bingo.
