New casino boat to launch in India

Goa, India, will have a new, luxury casino ship starting in April. The 70-meter, Panamanian-registered “Maharajah Casino” will feature 35 tables in a gaming area of 22,000 square feet, distributed among four decks. Games will include American roulette, blackjack and fixed-odds poker variants.

The $25 million casino will be operated by Creative Gaming Solution, a subsidiary of Pan India Network Infravest Pvt Ltd., or PINIPL. The company also operates the Playwin lottery.

In a move to attract high rollers, the tables will allow betting without limits. The ship will have a cage on board containing $1 million.

Amenities on the ship include a restaurant featuring international and multi-cultural cuisine, a bar, a live barbecue area on the top deck, a sundeck and a variety of entertainment.

“It will be the biggest offshore casino, and will be an added appeal for tourists to visit Goa,” PINIPL Managing Director Amar Sinha told the Indo-Asian News Service.

The only gaming ship currently cruising the coast out of Goa is the Carnavel, which hosts Casino Goa.
